Chargify - Create Coupon Code

  1. Click “Catalog” in left menu, then “Products”
  2. Click "Search And Filter View" at the top
    1. Search for the percentage off coupon for the sale
    2. *** If there is no coupon for the correct percentage, create a new one. Be sure to restrict coupon to upgrades, one time purchases, and leases only. The coupon should generally renew for 11 1-month periods unless otherwise stated ***
  3. Make sure the expiration date is far enough in advance (typically the following year). If the expiration date needs to be adjusted, click “Edit” and make the necessary change
  4. Click “Manage Codes” on each coupon 
    1. “Import Codes” and create new sale code 
    2. Create new code


Current Coupons (as of March 2024):

-% off Yearly Lease, Album Suite, Pro Suite: Search for %, and double check for correct product restrictions and expiration date

- Monthly lease upgrade coupon name: v11 Monthly Lease Upgrade ($19/yr)

- Yearly lease upgrade coupon name: Yearly Upgrade Pricing ($190/yr)

- v11 bulk upgrade coupon name: V11 Bulk Upgrade (reg $290)

Command Center - Enter Coupon Code + New Pricing so it shows up in the cart

  1. Sales Management
  2. Under v11 tab
  3. Update Retail Sale Price accordingly
  4. Add Chargify coupon code under “Coupon”
  5. Click “Update Product” under any products whose price was adjusted

  1. Pages > Pricing
  2. Under Packages > Enable Discount
    1. Enter Display Discount e.g. 350 - this should match the rounded pricing generated from the ccpro sales page
  3. Scroll down to the Upgrade Section 
    1. Update section with sale price if needed

  4. Click “Update” and preview in new tab (note: may take up to 15 minutes to update)

When we have a sale, we will activate the Sale Banner and alternate between the blue and orange banners during sale weeks. The Free Trial Bottom Bar will also be active during these sales.


 

Test, test, test

  1. Test the shopping cart
  2. Go to command center, delete your license, pretend to be a customer. Are the prices correct?
  3. Add a yearly license for yourself, are prices correct?
  4. Add a v6/v7 license for yourself, are prices correct?
  5. Add a v8 license for yourself, are prices correct?
  6. Have another coworker double check you
  7. Email Celina, Natalie + Fundy screenshots of all pricing for each license, and the banner on the website

Wordpress - Return Prices to Retail

  2. Under Plans > Disable Discount (return to retail pricing)
  3. Upgrade Pricing
    1. Remove sale pricing if it was added
  4. Update and preview in new tab (note: may take up to 15 minutes to update)

Once the sale ends, switch to the Free Trial Top Bar and toggle off the sale bar

Command Center - Delete Coupon Code so sale is removed in the cart
