B-Roll Creation / Reviewing Marketing Videos

Marketing needs help with B-Roll video creation and reviewing edits before videos go live to social media

B-Roll Videos

Before any edits are made to interviews, marketing will send a link to the original interview files. Review the interview in full, and create any b-roll videos that we don't already have so our editor can use them as needed. When recording, be sure to include a pointer (can be found in Mac screen recording settings). When naming the file, be sure to use a short description of what video is of, and the type of images use (ex. wedding, senior, maternity...)

Current b-roll videos on file can be found here: https://drive.google.com/drive/u/0/folders/1iUow8XlgfmkHtXDWBwHQGZeB8Dzh0hp7

Unedited full interviews are usually found in Riverside: www.riverside.fm

Unedited tradeshow clips/interviews are usually found in Vimeo (login on OnePass)

Reviewing Videos

Once edits have been made, links to the new videos will be shared (Vimeo). Review the videos for the following:

  • correct b-roll implementation - does not have to be exactly what is being talked about in the interview, but something similar. If a video was not used correctly, give the name of a better one to use, or create one and send the name
  • correct captions - comment any edits

If you select this icon for comments, they will be time-stamped for clarity for editing!

Sometimes Adriel (editor) will link an incorrect version of the vimeo file. If the comment button is not at the top like show above, click the "V" icon in the top left > library and locate the correct video here. If the comment option is at the bottom video, Adriel does not seem to be able to see those comments, so you'll need to locate the correct version by locating under the library section, and make necessary comments there. Additionally, sometimes Adriel will state that the revised videos are under the same link as the originals, but they generally are not. Locate the correct files under the library option

Emailing Interviewees

Once interviews go live, marketing may ask to you to email the interviewee. Here's a template to use unless otherwise directed:
